Dashboard: Batch Website
February 25, 2007Para sa mga ka-batch at kakilala kong nakabasa ng post nato, swerte niyo—sa dashboard pa kasi ang ideyang ito eh. Di pa online ang website ng NDKC IBEd HSD batch 2007. I'm still working on it. Now you know what I've been up to. Please don't tell them. I'd like this site to be a surprise on our Senior's ball

Anyways, I'm finding it difficult to pick where to host this site. I think it would be best if I use a database to make it searchable but I don't know how to make one. This is really tricky *_*. I've been to a few sites already which I think are quite useful. Among the wiki sites I browsed are: wikia, wetpaint and wikidot. I think a wiki would be better than having to type each profile manually myself and no one allowed to edit it. I also dropped by facebook a while ago, I think it's a little like friendster but on a much smaller—much, much smaller scale. I don't think I'll be considering that option again since I want to make a database not a social network..
Hay.. grabe.. and hirap rin pala nito. I'm thinking of using cutenews on the batch home page and updates since wordpress would be rather heavy. I could have everything hosted at freehostia too but the accessibility when it comes to the database bothers me. Freehostia had the mail() function disabled you see thus I cannot send e-mail from there. If I intend on using that simple login php from phpjunkyard… I've never tried it before but if it needs to send validation accounts to users that register.. maybe I'll have to go back to ueuo and register again for their free web hosting. Ueuo has the mail() function enabled.
Hay… maybe I shouldn't go on tomorrow's YFC production team practice after all. As you might have noticed in the time I posted this entry below, it's really kind of late. I spent most of my evening watching Princess Hours too you know . I'm already at episode 20.
Anyways, I think I'd best go to sleep now, I have a lot of stuff to do later… Requirements, term paper, whatever. Hay, that's what I get for being a student xD. Gimme a break!
